Not like the drafts but like the tabs on a Google doc.

I saw this in another program (stash in butterdocs) and it was really nice because it saved me having to copy-paste things that I need to remove but want to keep for later into an external notepad/gdoc. With that stash feature, you just sent it there and could bring it back to the draft anytime. I'm not looking for the exact same feature per se, but even just a little notes section that's quickly accessible via the draft would help!

We can create drafts of the main work, but there's no option to split a single, larger work into chapters (that we can then make drafts of) so that we can work and edit chapter-by-chapter.

I primarily write in the Google Docs App on mobile/tablet, so that’s the kind of experience I’d be looking for in a substitute.I write almost every day and collaborate frequently with an editor and would really like to find an alternative to google.I was hoping this would be it, but without a robust mobile option, I just don’t know if this will be the best fit.

I would love to have the concept of pages in Ellipsus. When editing a big work, I want to refer to its page number—it makes it easier to find a passage and pick up where you left off. When exporting into PDF and printing my work, I want to adjust the margins and preview it before exporting—this saves me time and gives me control over the layout (we love aesthetics, right?).

I always, always use the same formatting for all my documents. I like my headers a specific, way, I like my body font justified, etc. It would be really nice to have a way to set your personalized default fonts, alignment, preferences so I don't have to reformat all the time.

What it says on the box, sharing the folder would be so useful rather then sending individual docos

Similar were a smaller version of the character relationship template with multiple versions of the first part with family links added so decendancy and relationships between characters is easy to track and I don't forgot a cousin.

I (and many writers I know) appreciate having a native PC app. For me, it allows me to work without having reliable internet and push/share changes once I am back online. It also is beneficial to have an app that lives in my toolbar that I can open that doesn't have the option for me to get sidetracked by search windows I'd forgotten about, impulsive whims, etc. It creates a more seamless work experience all around.

Template where you can fill out a wider universe with quickly summarised planets/federations would be useful for sci fi writers

A timeline creation tool to help organize key plot events, worldbuilding, and planning.

Footnotes and/or endnotes are super useful, whether you're writing an academic paper or writing fiction with fantasy elements that need notating.

It would be great to support Markdown-style tables. I do a lot of technical writing and use tables for comparisons

Allow writers to manage custom dictionaries to include / exclude specific words from spell check.
