  1. Special character support (Γ‘, Γ©, etc.)

Make it easier to insert symbols, special characters, and emoji in the text editor.

  2. Spell check: Danish

I'd like to be able to use the spell check feature for my writing in danish as well as English. I do use the spell check setting for when I'm writing in English and I'm happy it's an option.

  3. Spell check: Check multiple languages at once

I’d like to be able to select multiple languages at once while writing so that I can write in multiple without one getting marked as incorrect all the time. This can go for completely different languages like a Chinese person speaking their native language in an otherwise English document or just simple slang variations between British English and American English

  4. Expand built-in dictionaries

This is specifically about words that are both already English and already spelled correctly, and how they are currently tripping the spell check. Like, for example, "biome" or "rainforest" (which does tend to be spelled as one word). Teaching the dictionary country and character names is fine once it's available, it just seems silly to have to do that with words that are in the Merriam-Webster dictionary.

  5. Set user language across account.

Basically, I do not want to switch from US english to CAN english in every single document. A way to switch the default in user settings would be pretty nice.

  6. Add Chinese to Supported Languages please!

Although I suspect that there are not many of us, but please consider adding Chinese (Mandarin, and traditional Chinese) to your supported languages please :) I've been loving the website for all of its other features (especially how anti-AI it is) but I'm starting to work on a Chinese project on here and I really need the word count to count Chinese characters.

  7. Spell check in Catalan

Giving the option to spell check in Catalan, oficial language of Andorra, co-oficial language from Spain, and used in other places like France and Italy. This is useful to people who want to write in their mother tongue while using Ellipsus and would like to have the option to check spelling without having to rely on other services.

  8. Add Arabic to the supported languages

Although I prefer to write mostly in English, Arabic is my mother tongue and I do write in it sometimes, so I'd like for it to be added in spell check. The grammatical structure in Arabic is already complex so there's bound to be a lot of errors one would make while writing that'd need to be reviewed.

  9. Welsh language spellcheck

I write a lot of my stuff in welsh, and it would be nice to have a welsh language spell-check on here.

  10. Vietnamese support

Add built-in Vietnamese spelling and grammar checking to Ellipsus to better support Vietnamese writers and multilingual creators who write in Vietnamese. Ellipsus currently lacks native support for Vietnamese spelling and grammar checking. Vietnamese is a widely spoken language with a large online writing community, and its orthography (diacritics, tone marks, compound words) makes it especially prone to errors that are difficult to catch without specialised tools. Writers composing in Vietnamese on Ellipsus must currently rely on external editors or browser extensions, which interrupts workflow and reduces the appeal of Ellipsus as a primary writing platform for Vietnamese content. Adding Vietnamese language support would expand Ellipsus’s reach, improve usability for an underserved audience, and strengthen its position as a modern, global writing platform. Even a basic implementation would be a meaningful step toward inclusivity and writer retention.

  11. Indonesian Language Options

I’ve noticed that there’s no Indonesian language option in the spell-check section. It would be great if this were available, as it would help Indonesian fanfiction writers with their spelling and writing.

  13. Add Finnish to the spell check languages

I write in Finnish sometimes, so it would be useful to have that as an option for the spell check features

  14. Turkish spellcheck

Hi! I hope its okay to add more than one feedback to one message. Me and my other turkish friends loves to use ellipsus to write and we wonder is it possible for you guys to add Turkish spellcheck by any chance? I also wondered if its possible for you guys to add a spot to upload our own fonts for our works, its okay if it doesnt appear to other people when shared (when they dont have the same font downloaded). It would be really enough even if we are the only one seeing it. As a fanfic writer i usually write multichaptered fics and when im writing other chapters i open a new document or add a new draft (when i add a new draft the first chapter is also on another draft so the main doc is empty) as my method. But i think it would be more effective if we had an option to add more main docs just like we do with drafts. Love you guys!! Thank you so much for your hardwork
